Brockworth Link Mobile Library

We are pleased to let you know that we are offering a mobile library to elderly and vulnerable members of the Brockworth community.

To access this service please call the library on 01452863681 and leave us a message with your name, library card number and your preference of books. We will then call you back and arrange to drop the books off to you.

Please note that the book drop facility is no longer available. Please visit the library during normal operating hours to return your books.

The opening times for the library are as follows:

Monday 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm
Tuesday 10am -1pm and 2pm-5pm
Wednesday 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm
Thursday 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm
Saturday 10:00am – 12:30 noon

National Lottery Community Fund grant

Brockworth Link is delighted to announce that a grant has been received from the National Lottery Community Fund.

This grant will enable us to ascertain the needs and wishes of the community for future activities, events and facilities available.

We are extremely grateful for this grant as it will enable us to acquire information that would have been difficult to afford through our normal funding channels.

Employability Support Sessions

From Tuesday 12th February we shall be offering a weekly (term time) employability support session. Help with job applications, CV and covering letter writing, training support and assistance with completing Universal Credit applications. Drop in between 10am and midday on Tuesdays.

Santander IT grant

The grant will pay for an IT tutor to run basic and intermediate classes at Brockworth Library on a weekly basis for the course of a year.

Nina Walsh, Chair of Brockworth Community Project said: “We were absolutely delighted to receive the grant from Santander Foundation, as we shall be able to offer a vital opportunity to the members of the local community to improve IT skills. It was a very generous grant and everyone at the Project is grateful for the support and encouragement given by Santander Foundation to our charity. Thank you!”

Amy Slack, Manager at the Santander Foundation said: “The Santander Foundation makes hundreds of donations every year to good causes throughout the UK. Our branch is committed to playing a key part in the community and we are delighted to be supporting Brockworth Community Project, and hope the donation makes a real difference to local people.”

Brockworth Community Library Refurbishment

Brockworth Community Project has recently been awarded a grant from Gloucestershire Environmental Trust. This grant has enabled the Project to undertake some building work at the Community Library.
This work has involved moving the kitchen to a new location within the building and completely refurbishing it with new units, flooring and decoration.
Two cloakrooms have been upgraded, a new store room has been created and access to all these new rooms has been improved.
The trustees of Brockworth Community Project are extremely grateful to Gloucestershire Environmental Trust for their support and generosity.

Mid Gloucestershire Bible Seminars 2017 Brockworth

These seminars will:

• Consider the faith of Bible characters as they struggled against all kinds of opposition to present their message
• See the progress of Jesus’ ministry and its effect on thosearound him before and after his resurrection
• Watch the growth of the early Church and consider their beliefs and practices and how they developed.
• Search out Bible echoes in the Old and New Testaments using margin references and other study aids

Developments at Brockworth Community Project

The latest development from Brockworth Community Project is to rename our building, offering services to the community.
The building will now be known as The Link @ Brockworth and from this building we will continue to offer all our previous services.
