Overview
Even with the wet weather the newly refurbished library had a real buzz about it this morning. Local families and community members enjoyed cakes, refreshments and even the odd ice cream at the grand re-opening of Brockworth Link & Community Library.
Shoo Rayner, local author and illustrator cut the ribbon after touching speeches from Nina, the chair of the Brockworth Link trustees, and Annie the Library Manager.
Children enjoyed a story read, and illustrated live, by Shoo as well as making Lego models and colouring. All those present had positive reflections of the refurbishment and many were blown away by the transformation and what a welcoming space had been created.
